Database software allows large amounts of data to be stored and manipulated into a useful format. TNC Training & Consultancy use Microsoft Access for most of its database development. Although Access has certain technical limitations, it provides a cost effective, user friendly package making it suitable for small business use. It is designed to be scalable with Microsoft SQL Server. This means that data stored within a Microsoft Access database can normally be upsized into Microsoft SQL Server should the technical requirements grow.

Professional Database Driven Website Design

Today's websites are often developed using dynamic pages driven by databases. Professional database driven website design is a cost effective method of developing a website which stores a large amount of information. Instead of designing all the static pages in advance, it is better to produce dynamic pages which generate the relevant information requested by the viewer.

In instances where a client needs access to update his own website a professional database driven website design can be used.  A secondary website allows the database to be updated while the the primary website takes its content from the database.  This enables the client to update his website without having access to the website code.

Desktop Database Development

Many small businesses would not have, or need to have, the in-house technical skills for database development. Having identified client requirements, we would normally develop the database and deliver it in an installable package on CD-R (or installed by ourselves if requested). Staff would be trained with the relevant skills to use the database.
