Web Application Development
Website development or web application development covers the function and substance of
a website. In the early days of the Internet, websites were fairly simple consisting of mainly
text and images laid out with a straight forward structure. As the Internet has developed
websites have become more advanced with varying levels of interactivity.
Web Application development using ASP.Net
At TNC we use the Microsoft ASP.Net platform for web application development. ASP.Net is
currently one of the most powerful platforms for developing web applications and can be
used for development on a range of scales from small company web sites through to large
corporate websites running on multiple web servers.
What can be done with web application development?
Typical web application development projects that we have completed for clients include
applications for estate agents or recruitment consultants which are database driven. Please visit

to view a web application.
If we consider a typical estate agent the main function of the website is to display
properties that are for sale and allow users to easily filter the available properties to
a list that might suit their requirements. These websites are normally database driven
and due to the constant turn over of new properties, have a management console (Content
Managment System) which allows staff to log on to add, edit or remove properties from
the database. Estate agency websites may also include features so that users can create
accounts and request property details to be emailed to them as they are added to the
database.
ASP.Net web services
TNC have devloped and use a number of web services to support their client applications.
