Client Brief
Bridge Mergers & Acquisitions Ltd provides a comprehensive and professional service
for those wishing to buy or sell companies. They have been trading for over 30 years and
already had a website before approaching TNC (IT Solutions) Limited. They believed their existing
website had become dated and no longer reflected the modern outlook of
the company. It was also difficult to maintain as there was nothing in place
to update the website content.
The Solution
TNC (IT Solutions) Ltd created a new, modern design concept for Bridge Mergers & Acquisitions
Ltd along with a new company logo.
Online market research was completed to evaluate the strength of the market and identify
keywords which potential clients might be using to search on the internet. Copy write was prepared
which presented the end user with an outline of the services offered along with the benefits of
using Bridge Mergers & Acquisitions Ltd, while still attracting good search engine listings.
Once the design was approved the website was created on the ASP.Net platform using Xhtml and CSS, with an
access database to hold dynamic content.
Features
Company News – Company News items can be added using a management console. The latest news
headlines are displayed on the home page and the full item can be viewed by following a link.
New news items are automatically added to the Site Map and XML sitemap to ensure that they are
found by both website visitors and search engines.
E-newsletter – A registration system was created which allowed website visitors to subscribe
or unsubscribe from the company e-newsletter. Subscriber details can be accessed from the website
management console and downloaded in an Excel spreadsheet. An e-newsletter is an essential tool
for maintaining contact with your client base and ensuring that they are aware of industry trends.
Dynamic Xml Sitemap – Most search engines now accept search engine submissions using an Xml
sitemap. This is a specially formatted text file which lists each of the website pages along
with relevant page information. It is important to ensure that this is kept up to date and that
any new pages such as new news items are added to this file so that search engines are automatically
informed that new content is available.
Links Database – A links database is used to ensure that links can easily be added and removed
from the company links section. Adding links to a website can create a useful resource for your
website visitor and if focused will often form a “hub” of information that search engines will index.
Additional Services
Due to the global nature of their business, Bridge Mergers & Acquisitions Ltd have a number of staff
working from virtual offices around the country. TNC (IT Solutions) Ltd provided Bridge with a Hosted
Exchange service which provides corporate communication facilities. SharePoint Services was introduced
to provide access to company information and documents for staff working remotely. The combination of
these products enabled staff working from virtual offices to effectively communicate and collaborate
without the overhead of maintaining an in-house IT infrastructure.
