Client Brief
Meat Trade News Daily was created for William Hayes an international businessman and one of the
"Elder Statesman" of the meat industry. Having built a number of successful business around the world
and eventually settling in Argentina, Bill Hayes identified an opening for an international news portal
within his industry.
The Solution
Meat Trade News Daily had a simple design with an easy user interface to ensure that site visitors
could easily navigate their way around the site. The home page displayed the news headlines for that day
with links through to the full article. Filters were provided so that the headlines could be viewed by country
and RSS feeds created for either the full world news headlines or agin by country.
An archive of news headlines allows visitors to search for historical information.
This web site was built using ASP.Net 3.5 with a MS SQL Server database. Technologies used included
LINQ, ASP.Net Ajax, Xhtml and CSS.
Features
Meat Trade News daily included a number of features which can be accessed via a management console.
These include:
News Items – The management console can be used to add edit or remove news items.
Facilities were provided to upload news items with predetermined release dates.
Sitemap – A dynamic sitemap has been provided to ensure that any new pages that
are created (each news item) are automatically added to the sitemap

This website is managed by TNC (It Solutions) Ltd although all content is added using the management console.
