Client Brief
Sawyers & Co are a family run Estate Agency located in County Down, Northern Ireland. They
have a strong local market but noticed an increase in the number of potential buyers looking to
move back to Northern Ireland after having lived away. They wanted a website to display their properties
and although they were confident that local people would find the website using local advertising they
wanted to be sure that the website had good search engine visibility to that group of potential buyers
who were looking to move back to Northern Ireland.
The Solution
TNC (IT Solutions) Ltd created a design based on the existing company corporate image.
Online market research was conducted to identify potential search phrases which buyers might use to
find property from outside of the local area or abroad.
A website structure was then created which provided a simple search mechanism to display properties
with a click for more detail facility. The structure ensures that each property is indexed as a
page, on a search engine, in its own right, ensuring that there is a greater chance of the website being
found during a geographical property search. Website content was then prepared to attract good search
engine listing for the key phrases which was identified during the research phase.
Once approved the website was created on the ASP.Net platform using Xhtml and CSS, with an access
database to hold dynamic content.
Features
Property Management – A management console was provided to add or remove properties from the website
Mortgage Calculator – A mortgage calculator was developed to provide website visitors with
an indication of their borrowing potential and likely costs based on the values borrowed.
Sitemap – A dynamic sitemap was provided to ensure that any new pages which were created were automatically
added to the sitemap.
Additional Services
Sawyers & Co estate Agents adopted our management package to ensure that we deal with any technical
problems relating to the website. The package also includes a wide range of reports giving a constant
view of the traffic visiting the website, where the website is listed and who links to it.
